Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter across the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Grab a big bowl and stir milk, vanilla, and white sugar until they're well mixed.

Now put in flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon with your wet mix. Stir just enough to blend everything.

Spoon your batter over the butter in the pan. Don't stir them together. Scatter brown sugar all over the top.

Slowly add hot water over everything in the pan.

Pop it in the hot oven for about 30-35 minutes until it looks golden on top and seems mostly firm.

In a small bowl, mix white sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this all over your hot dessert.

Give it a few minutes to cool down a bit. It tastes best warm, and you can add some vanilla ice cream if you want.
