Chilled Oreo and cream cheese snowmen coated in smooth white chocolate with festive decorations.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oreo Dough

01 - 36 Oreo cookies (1 standard package)
02 - 6 oz cream cheese, softened

→ Coating & Decoration

03 - 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
04 - Mini chocolate chips or black decorating gel for eyes and buttons
05 - Orange sprinkles or colored icing for nose
06 - Pretzel sticks or colored fondant for arms and scarves
07 - Lollipop sticks

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely ground.
02 - Mix crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese until smooth and homogeneous.
03 - Roll dough into 32 small balls (~0.8 inch diameter) and 16 larger balls (~1.2 inches diameter).
04 - Stack one small ball on top of each large ball, gently pressing to adhere. Insert a lollipop stick centrally through each assembled snowman and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
05 - Freeze the assembled snowmen for 20 to 30 minutes until firm.
06 - Melt white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
07 - Dip each chilled snowman into melted chocolate, turning to coat completely. Let excess drip and place upright in a foam block or cup to set.
08 - While coating is still tacky, add mini chocolate chips or decorating gel for eyes and buttons, and apply orange icing or sprinkles to create the nose.
09 - Once coating is set, adorn with pretzel arms and fondant scarves as desired.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • They're basically edible art—everyone at your holiday gathering will do a double-take before biting into one.
  • Oreos and cream cheese create a shortcut dough that needs zero baking, perfect for when your oven's already working overtime.
  • Kids can help decorate them, turning prep time into playtime.
02 -
  • Frozen dough is non-negotiable—room temperature dough will slide right off the stick and into your chocolate bowl, and yes, I learned this the hard way.
  • The chocolate coating is your friend only if it's the right temperature; too hot and it pools and slides, too cool and it clumps and doesn't coat evenly.
03 -
  • Make a batch of extras and freeze them undecorated, then you can decorate fresh ones for last-minute gatherings without starting from scratch.
  • Use a piping bag with melted white chocolate as a 'glue' to help decorations stick if the coating has already set hard.
