# Steps to Follow:
- Heat a large soup pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage; cook, breaking up with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add diced onion, minced garlic, carrot, red bell pepper, and chopped jalapeños to the pot. Sauté for 5 to 6 minutes until vegetables are softened and fragrant.
- Stir in tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, crushed red pepper flakes if desired, salt, and black pepper. Cook stirring for 1 minute.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a gentle simmer. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes to develop flavors.
- Add broken lasagne noodles to the pot. Simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped fresh parsley, and finely diced jalapeño if using. Stir until fully blended.
- Taste the soup and adjust salt and pepper if necessary. Remove the pot from the heat.
- Ladle hot soup into bowls. Top each portion with a generous dollop of the cheesy jalapeño mixture and garnish with chopped parsley, sliced jalapeños, and additional Parmesan as desired. Serve immediately.
