Glazed Brown Sugar Soy Salmon (Printable Page)

# What You Need:

01 - 1½ lbs salmon fillet, skin-on or skinless
02 - ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
03 - ½ cup packed brown sugar
04 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 3 tablespoons lemon juice
06 - ¼ cup salted butter
07 - ½ teaspoon salt
08 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil, for brushing
10 - Optional garnish: chopped green onion or parsley

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and let the salmon sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
02 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, butter, salt, and pepper. Stir frequently and simmer for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Do not let it boil.
03 - Place the salmon skin-side down in a baking dish. Brush the top with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
04 - Pour the warm glaze evenly over the salmon. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil.
05 - Bake for 10–25 minutes depending on the thickness of the fillet, approximately 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
06 - Remove the foil and broil for the last 2–3 minutes for a caramelized finish.
07 - Garnish with chopped green onion or parsley. Serve with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Let the salmon reach room temperature before baking for even cooking.
02 - The glaze can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for up to three days.
03 - Use wild-caught salmon for firmer texture and higher omega-3 content if available.
