Baked Lemon Garlic Salmon (Printable Version)

Succulent salmon fillets baked in foil with a rich honey-lemon-garlic butter sauce, then broiled until perfectly golden.

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1.5 kg salmon fillets, skin on
02 - 1 fresh lemon, thinly sliced
03 - 125 g butter, melted
04 - 60 ml lemon juice
05 - 3 tablespoons honey
06 - 2.5 teaspoons minced garlic
07 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
08 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C. Place salmon fillet skin-side down on a sheet of foil on a baking sheet. Fold the foil edges up about 5 cm to create a rim that will contain the sauce.
02 - Arrange lemon slices underneath the salmon fillet and set aside.
03 - In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter on high for about 1 minute. Stir in lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic until well combined.
04 - Pour three-quarters of the butter mixture over the salmon. Evenly sprinkle salt and pepper over the fillet.
05 - Cover the salmon with another piece of foil, sealing the edges tightly. For enhanced flavor, let it marinate for 10-15 minutes if time allows.
06 - Place the foil-wrapped salmon on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 17 minutes.
07 - Remove from the oven and carefully open the foil to expose the salmon while keeping the edges raised to contain the sauce.
08 - Change oven setting to high broil. Spoon the reserved butter mixture over the salmon, being careful not to overfill.
09 - Broil for 5-10 minutes, or until the top develops a golden color to your preference.
10 - Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately, offering any extra sauce on the side.
