Cheesy Beef & Broccoli Hotdish (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 tbsp olive oil
02 - 1 small onion, diced
03 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
04 - 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
05 - Salt and pepper, to taste

→ Sauce & Add-ins

06 - 1 can (300 g) cream of mushroom soup
07 - 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
08 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1/2 tsp paprika
10 - 3 cups (225 g) broccoli florets, blanched or thawed if frozen
11 - 2 cups (180 g) cooked rice or cooked egg noodles

→ Topping

12 - 1 1/2 cups (170 g) shredded cheddar cheese
13 - 1/4 cup (25 g) breadcrumbs, optional
14 - 1 tbsp melted butter, optional (for breadcrumbs)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 - In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes until softened.
03 - Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat if needed.
04 - Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Mix well.
05 - Fold in cooked rice or noodles and broccoli. Stir until evenly combined.
06 - Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheddar. If using, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over cheese.
07 - Bake for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top.
08 - Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
